Ahhhh, slab and pinhole leaks…the South OC curse. A combo of our pipes and our water has created a perfect (awful) storm. If you haven’t had a leak, consider yourself lucky! We are in quite a few community groups and not a day goes by that we don’t see someone asking for suggestions on how to deal with insurance, find a plumber or find a repipe company.
We selected Care Plumbing for our PEX repiping deal as they offer fantastic service, product and of course, pricing. We found them through your referrals and upon research quickly found your reviews to be on spot! Not only are they great at what they do but their regular retail pricing was already fantastic…add in a little co-op magic and we are saving everyone an average of $500-$1000. Most companies we spoke with are charging an average of $8000+ for repiping. Ouch! We think you are really going to love this one.

Island Sink – included in the above prices if vendor is able to sleeve Pex line through existing copper. If there’s a problem, existing copper hot & cold lines to faucet remains in place. Sleeving a 3/8s inch.
Pex pipe inside existing hot and cold water copper pipes has been accepted as an alternative to breaking open floor to run new ½ inch copper piping in the slab. If Inspection authority changes their ruling on this, any alterative solution would be subject to a change order before action is taken.
Drywall repair is included, painting is not included. Our Thrive Co-Op handyman can help with painting if needed.
Softener loop install = $270; install hard water hose bib $205 per location. If running new piping to a softener already in place, this additional fee covers added material and labor costs involved. If anyone wants to install softener right after repipe, then this would cover the cost of creating a loop for the softener install process. (see our great deal for water filters and softners) Installing a softener in a home where hose bibs are already in place, should have hard water lines separately run to one or more hose.
Owner will cover the cost of inspection ($300-$700 depending on city) or reimburse Care Plumbing for the cost.
Care Plumbing also offers a lifetime warranty on their repipe projects. One more reason we love them!
