In 2018, two neighbors in Ladera Ranch realized they were having the same conversation a hundred times a year. Someone needed a plumber. Someone else needed a fan installer. The same handful of trusted contractors got recommended over and over, and people kept asking for the number.
That's how Thrive Communities started. Not as a business, not as a marketplace, just as a list of trusted local pros the neighborhood had already agreed were good. We made it official: we'd vet them, negotiate a member rate, and make the introductions.
Eight years later, that's grown to a 4,000-neighbor community across South Orange County and more than two million dollars of work routed to local trades. Carpets cleaned, ducts vented, shower doors installed, fans humming. Every name on the list is still a name we'd call ourselves.
Why we keep it small.
We could list a hundred pros. We don't, because then it stops being a recommendation and starts being a directory. Members trust Thrive because we're picky. The list is short. Every name on it is someone we'd call ourselves.
We started in Ladera Ranch and Rancho Mission Viejo because that's where we live. Today our pros serve the whole South OC region, and the member community is growing community by community as neighbors invite neighbors.
