Most techs we talked to said 15 years is the typical life expectancy of a decent AC/furnace. That means a lot of us are on borrowed time. The air purification is a UV-style purifier and is suitable for an entire home. Coastal Heating & Cooling recommends one air purifier per home, up to 2500 sqft. These systems are great for any home and they eliminate and reduce bacteria, mold, viruses, smoke, odors, and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) in the air and on surfaces.
They prefer this air purification system over media style systems because they require less maintenance, and last longer than the media filters. The Micropure does not require any additional filters and can last up to three years on the original cell.
